Head Boy and Head Girl
Year 11 students have the opportunity to vote for their Head Boy and Head Girl based on contribution to school life and the wider community. They take on an ambassador role for other students and are key role models for the student community.
Our student council are active in the life of the school. The Council have representatives from all year groups and they have been involved in many initiatives and offer a valued contribution to the lift of the school. They meet regularly with senior staff and consult the student body on various issues. They have opportunities to be involved in the interview process for certain members of staff to give the student perspective and their considerations are always balanced and insightful. We see our students developing their leadership, negotiation and team working skills which they use to the benefit of all.
Sixth Form Leadership
Our sixth form students fulfil a vital role within the school community offering leadership skills, support for younger students and aspiration for achievement. They are expected to contribute to the life of the school by participating in community activities either in school or locally or work based with the aim to develop their awareness of the needs of others, contributing and encouraging where they can, building on their leadership skills and helping them prepare for their next step to Higher Education or work.
