School Counsellor

9 hours per week; 39 weeks per year
Self employed contract with the school

Required from 6 December 2021, a professional qualified school counsellor who will provide therapeutic support for students in liaison with the school pastoral leads.

The aim of this role is to promote positive emotional health and wellbeing within the students; ultimately enabling them to bring about changes for themselves.

This position requires someone who is able to offer a professional and confidential service to students.

Role Requirements:

  • Professional Counselling Qualification Level 4 or above
  • The ability to engage with young people who face a variety of personal challenges
  • To work with a diverse range of issues including bereavement and loss, transition, eating disorders and self-harm, depression, anger management
    and erratic behaviour, abuse of any kind, anxiety and fears.
