At both GCSE and A Level, students have the opportunity to choose some elements of their academic curriculum.
The process of making these decisions is supported by events in school; work with tutors and teachers, and events for parents. Details of each is on the relevant page.
Option blocks for GCSE and A level courses will be confirmed after the May half term. This allows us to ensure we have specialist teachers to deliver each course in manageable sized groups.
Year 8 students will be informed of their GCSE options classes at this point; please note that once students are allocated to classes it is unlikely that students will be able to change courses.
A level classes will be confirmed on or following GCSE results in August.
All admissions in Years 7-11 are made via Northamptonshire County Council. Please see our page for transferring 'in year' to Magdalen College School. In Year Admissions from a secondary school
