Friends of Magdalen College School

fomcsWe are the Parent-Teacher-Students Association of Magdalen College School.
Although similar Associations are often perceived primarily as fund raising organisations we think that a more important aspect of the facility for parents and members of the wider community is to become more involved with children's education.

Working in partnership with the school can help to develop strong links between home and school.
Research has shown that parental involvement has a very significant impact on a pupil's achievement and attainment at school.  Schools and parents have vital roles to play in helping children to learn and there are considerable benefits when parents and teachers exchange views and work together to develop mutual trust and confidence.  In fact, success in the education of children depends, at least in part, on the involvement of their parents.  If pupils see that their parents are enthusiastic about the school and their education they are far more liely to view schooling as a positive experience and be more receptive to learning.

If you would like more information or would like to become more involved, please email friendsofmagdalen@magdalen.northants.sch.uk or telephone 01280 846300.
