  • Y8 GCSE Options - 10 Feb 2021

    Dear Parent/Carer, Guidance and resources for choosing GCSE options for September 2021 is being sent directly to students via their school email address this afternoon. This takes the form of a Powerpoint presentation that must be viewed as a slideshow to access links to further resources. These resources include the assembly to students I would normally give, the information presentation for parents, explanations by subject teachers, details regarding exam boards and course outlines, and also the online application form which must be submitted by Thursday 11th March please. Additionally, there is a link to a query form - if you or your child have any questions regarding either specific subjects, the options process, or about how to combine different subjects into a broad and balanced curriculum, please use this form.

  • Remote Learning - Which Account Do I Use? - 22 Jan 2021

    With lots of different resources being used for remote learning, it can be hard to remember login details for all of them. For Office 365 and school email use and login with your school email address which will end and school password. For Go for Schools Student Access use login with your school email address which will end and Go for Schools password. If you don’t know what your Go for Schools password is click on the “forgotten your password” link, type in your school email which ends and the system will send you a password reset email.

  • Manners and kindness - 11 Nov 2020

    We are concentrating on manners and kindness again. Teachers can nominate students when they see acts of kindness and witness good manners this week. All nominations will be entered into a raffle with a prize for the winning nomination pulled from all the nominations. The following week students will be asked to nominate staff and the last week students will be asked to nominate other students for acts of kindness and good manners.

  • Remembrance 2020 - 2 Nov 2020

    MCS has a proud history of supporting Remembrance events at this time of year. Students will shortly be having virtual assemblies from Mr Hollis to help us mark Remembrance and the sacrifices made in wars and conflicts. We recognise that veterans in particular may be finding adapting to the pandemic a very difficult experience. Due to the Covid restrictions upon us and the priority of keeping students safe, we are unable to sell poppies.
