ADMISSION YEAR 11 INTO SIXTH FORM - 6 Oct 2022
Please be advised that the admission process for Year 11 into Sixth form has now started. You are invited with your child to attend the open evening on 3 November, 6pm - 8pm, when you will have the opportunity to meet, with your child, the Sixth Form Team, to speak with subject teachers specifically about the courses available, to look at examples of students work, to discover the content, the skills & the assessments involved; you will also find out more about what your child would do, day by day, if they joined Magdalen sixth form. We are encouraging all students to attend - for some to confirm subjects at what may be their main option, for some to decide between a several possible options, and for some to decide what to do if Magdalen is their 'plan b' (everybody should have a firm Plan B!) To complete an application for Sixth Form, please use this form: SIXTH FORM APPLICATION FORM The initial deadline for applications is Friday, 9th December 2022. This information will be used to recruit teachers, and to create classes and options blocks which will be confirmed and published in June 2023.

Tutor Groups 2022 - 5 Sep 2022
Dear Parents/Carers, Please find attached tutor groups and tutor group bases. Students in years 7-11 and year 13 should go straight to their tutor base when they arrive in school. Year 12 students should go straight to the chapel. Period 2 will be a tutor period for all students and normal lessons will start period 3.

Results at MCS - 25 Aug 2022
A-Level resultsCongratulations to all of our students who have received their results on 19 August. It is pleasing to see so many gaining places at their chosen universities, apprenticeships and other plans. It has been a turbulent time for everyone over the last few years, and seeing such success for so many is a delight. These are the first public exams that this cohort have taken, having missed their GCSEs and they have risen to the challenge remarkably well.

New Building Completion - 8 Sep 2021
We are delighted to unveil our new building which we have watched grow since it was started in 2020. This extension to the existing Wodhams Sports Hall houses two music classrooms, four music practice rooms, two multi-purpose classrooms that can be converted into one larger teaching space, four humanities classrooms, one PE classroom, two new changing rooms and a viewing terrace which looks out over our all-weather pitch.

Manners and kindness - 11 Nov 2020
We are concentrating on manners and kindness again. Teachers can nominate students when they see acts of kindness and witness good manners this week. All nominations will be entered into a raffle with a prize for the winning nomination pulled from all the nominations. The following week students will be asked to nominate staff and the last week students will be asked to nominate other students for acts of kindness and good manners.

CONGRATULATIONS: Our Y13 student, Willow raised a sum of £620.00 for The Little Princess Trust! She cut off her long hair at the weekend and is donating it to the charity, for a child who has lost their hair.
