Thank you for visiting the admissions page to our Magdalen Sixth Form, we hope you find the information you need here. Our open evening is scheduled for Thursday, 22^nd January 2026, when applicants and parents / carers will have the opportunity to visit the school and speak with staff and students of individual subjects, as well as the sixth form team.

Applications

Following receipt of students’ applications, option blocks will be created that ensure the majority of students can study their personal preferred combination of subjects.  Students are asked to choose 4x subjects in order of preference, and every endeavour will be taken to ensure that they can study 3 of these. If this does not prove possible within the created option blocks, we will contact each student individually to discuss their choices.
