  • September 2022 Year 7 Applications - 15 Sep 2021

    As we begin a new academic year, the School Admissions Team for West Northamptonshire is starting the process for co-ordinating secondary admissions for the September 2022 intake. The application portal for parents to start making their applications opened on 10th September 2021. Please note there are now two application portals in Northamptonshire (West Northants & North Northants) and parents must apply through the Local Authority in which their child resides. We have provided a link to the school admissions website (below) for parents and carers so that you can access all the information you need to make your application as well as access to an online copy of our ‘Applying for a Secondary School Place in West Northamptonshire 2022/23’ information booklet.

  • New Building Completion - 8 Sep 2021

    We are delighted to unveil our new building which we have watched grow since it was started in 2020. This extension to the existing Wodhams Sports Hall houses two music classrooms, four music practice rooms, two multi-purpose classrooms that can be converted into one larger teaching space, four humanities classrooms, one PE classroom, two new changing rooms and a viewing terrace which looks out over our all-weather pitch.

  • Remote Learning - Which Account Do I Use? - 22 Jan 2021

    With lots of different resources being used for remote learning, it can be hard to remember login details for all of them. For Office 365 and school email use https://office.com and login with your school email address which will end @magdalen.northants.sch.uk and school password. For Go for Schools Student Access use https://www.go4schools.com/students login with your school email address which will end @magdalen.northants.sch.uk and Go for Schools password. If you don’t know what your Go for Schools password is click on the “forgotten your password” link, type in your school email which ends @magdalen.northants.sch.uk and the system will send you a password reset email.

    Dear parents and carers Please see our email regarding the Prime Minister’s latest announcement (sent 4 January after 8pm announcement). The school is open tomorrow for children of key workers and those who are vulnerable learners, as today. Only send your child in if you have already made this arrangement with us.   • Manners and kindness - 11 Nov 2020

    We are concentrating on manners and kindness again. Teachers can nominate students when they see acts of kindness and witness good manners this week. All nominations will be entered into a raffle with a prize for the winning nomination pulled from all the nominations. The following week students will be asked to nominate staff and the last week students will be asked to nominate other students for acts of kindness and good manners.

  • Remembrance 2020 - 2 Nov 2020

    MCS has a proud history of supporting Remembrance events at this time of year. Students will shortly be having virtual assemblies from Mr Hollis to help us mark Remembrance and the sacrifices made in wars and conflicts. We recognise that veterans in particular may be finding adapting to the pandemic a very difficult experience. Due to the Covid restrictions upon us and the priority of keeping students safe, we are unable to sell poppies.
